Use a sulfate-free shampoo approved by Kylene and consider a shower filter to help minimize mineral buildup and maintain the longevity of your extensions. Apply conditioner from the mid-lengths down, avoiding the roots and rows.

Gently squeeze out excess water and pat dry with a towel. Always fully dry the rows and roots before sleeping, apply a lightweight hair oil through the mid-lengths and ends, and use a heat protectant before styling.

Minimize exposure to chlorine, saltwater, and hard water to help preserve the quality and tone of your extensions. To prevent tangling, sleep with dry hair in a loose braid or low ponytail. Avoid sunscreens containing avobenzone, as they can discolor lighter extensions — mineral or zinc-based SPF is recommended instead.
